Outreach

 At Indiana University, I served as both an Outreach Intern and an Education Coordinator with the Bloomington Urban Woodlands Program (BUWP), a local initiative that promotes healthy forests and reconnects the community with their woodlands. As Education Coordinator, I initiated the “Fruits of the Forest” service learning program, using our mission and restoration activities to teach local high school students about botany, ecology, and sustainability. This program received grant funding from the City of Bloomington and the George E. Archer Foundation, as well as media coverage.
